Voltacon’s recessed lights are strong and durable, which means they’re suitable for installation in almost all commercial and residential buildings – including airports, shopping centres, and residential structures.

Due to the use of a high-quality solid aluminium heat sink with no plastic parts, these LED round panels have an edge over the competition. They have a tougher, sturdier feel as they’re 10-15% heavier than other recessed lights but still produce a streamlined look when installed as they’re incredibly slim. With a round shape and recessed finish, their sleek look will suit any home.

The lights are supplied with fittings for easy installation and can be mounted on varied materials for extra versatility, including concrete roofs, suspended ceilings, and wooden surfaces. The model can also be dimmed for full control over the atmosphere of your space.

These recessed lighting solutions from Voltacon are also more technologically advanced than rival products. They are the latest replacements for old-fashioned halogen and fluorescent PLG24 round downlighters, which are less environmentally friendly than these newer products. The use of LED in these recessed lights, which have a low heat output, significantly reduces energy bills.

Voltacon’s recessed lights come with a 5-year warranty for guaranteed peace of mind. They’re also safety-certified for added reassurance.

How to choose LED Round Panels

Start with the hole. Round recessed panels need the right cut-out, and each product states it. Ours run from 90mm up to 285mm:

  • 8W: 107mm cut-out, 120mm across.
  • 10W: 90mm (CL88) or 152mm.
  • 12W: 160mm cut-out, 170mm across.
  • 17W: 225mm cut-out, 240mm across.
  • 22W: 280mm or 285mm cut-out, 300mm across.

Colour. Warm white 3000K suits homes; natural white 4000K suits kitchens, offices and corridors.

Dimming. Most come non-dimmable or with Triac, 1-10V or DALI dimming.

Dry areas only. Our round panels are for dry ceilings (IP20 or IP40 where stated), not for showers or above baths. For a bathroom, see our bathroom lights.

No hole in the ceiling? Our surface mounted fittings fit straight on.

Common questions

The hole is bigger than my new panel. What can I do?

Choose the next size up so the rim covers the hole. For example, our 12W panel needs a 160mm cut-out and is 170mm across, and our 17W needs 225mm and is 240mm across.

Can I use a round panel in a bathroom?

Not near the bath or shower: our round panels are for dry places, rated IP20 or IP40 where stated. Ask a qualified electrician about zones, or choose an IP44 or IP65 bathroom fitting.

Are round panels dimmable?

Most are available as Triac, 1-10V or DALI dimmable versions, and the CL88 10W is Triac dimmable. Pick the dimmable version at checkout and use a matching dimmer or controller.

What is the difference between a round panel and a downlight?

A round panel is very slim, around 12 to 21mm deep, with a wide even light. A downlight is usually deeper with a more focused beam. Panels suit shallow ceiling voids.

Where does the driver go?

Round panels use a small LED driver that sits in the ceiling void next to the panel, so leave room above the ceiling. Check each product page for what is in the box.
