Designed to replace your existing G9 Halogen bulbs, these high-quality LED bulbs will save you money on your energy expenditure. How to choose G9 LED 230V

Check the cap. G9 bulbs have two looped pins 9mm apart and run on mains 230V. They are common in small wall lights, cooker hoods and decorative fittings.

Check the size. The pin spacing is always the same but the bulb body is not. Measure the space inside your fitting, especially in small glass shades.

Our G9 bulbs. 2W, 2.5W and 4W with Samsung LEDs and a 360 degree spread, in warm, natural or cool white.

Dimming. Only our 4W G9 is dimmable. The 2W and 2.5W are not, so do not put them on a dimmer. Small G9 LEDs can be hard to dim smoothly; use the same model throughout and an LED dimmer with a low minimum load.

Brightness. Our 4W gives about 450 lumens; the 2W suits small accent lights.

Common questions

Why do my G9 LEDs flicker?

G9 LEDs are very small, so a dimmer with too high a minimum load, a non-dimmable bulb on a dimmer, or mixed makes can cause flicker. Use our dimmable 4W G9 and an LED dimmer, or a plain switch for the 2W and 2.5W.

My new G9 is too big for the fitting. What can I do?

Measure the old bulb and the space in the shade before ordering. Compact low wattage G9 bulbs are shorter, so they fit tight glass shades better.

Can I replace a 40W halogen G9 with LED?

Yes. Our 4W G9 gives about 450 lumens, a good match for most 40W halogen G9s, and runs much cooler.

Are G9 LEDs mains voltage?

Yes, ours run straight from the mains. G4 capsules look similar but are 12V, so check the pins: G9 pins are loops, G4 pins are straight.
