Upgrade older fluorescent fittings with this advanced LED gear tray from Voltacon. Designed as a direct retrofit for 28W and 36W 2D CFL lamps, this 18W LED gear tray combines efficient everyday lighting and 3-hour emergency backup in one practical all-in-one solution.

This retrofit LED gear tray is ideal for round ceiling and wall lights that previously used a fluorescent 2D lamp. It is a strong choice for electricians, maintenance teams and lighting designers who need a dependable retrofit product with emergency function already built in.

LED gear tray with emergency function

The tray includes an emergency driver and 3.6V lithium-ion battery, allowing the fitting to operate as a maintained emergency light. Under normal conditions, the LED board works as a standard light fitting and can be switched on and off from a wall switch. However, if the mains power fails, the LED gear tray continues operating in emergency mode for up to 3 hours.

This makes the fitting especially suitable for communal areas, corridors, stairwells, entrances and commercial spaces where emergency lighting is required for safety and compliance.

Designed for easy retrofit installation

Voltacon developed this LED gear tray specifically for replacing older 2D fluorescent lamp systems. The metallic tray can be installed into many round ceiling or wall luminaires, giving installers a practical upgrade route without replacing the whole fitting.

For safe electrical connection, the unit includes a fully insulated junction box and a 4-way power block for switched live, unswitched live for emergency, neutral and earth. This helps support a professional and straightforward installation in retrofit applications.

Delivery

Whatever products you have ordered from Ledison, you'll enjoy a speedy delivery service at a budget price and at a convenient time to receive your items.

Courier Delivery

For delivering parcels we use premium courier services. All our standard items are delivered by UPS within 24 hours. For oversized items over 180cm, we use FedEx. The estimated time scale is between 1 to 3 working days. We also offer delivery on a specific day, which can be chosen at the time of placing your online order.

Pallet Services: A pallet service is required on larger items. The standard pallet service time scale is an estimated 2 to 5 working days. When the order is processed and the courier is about to collect the parcels, you will be contacted by the transportation company to arrange a suitable delivery time and date. We cooperate with many different freight providers, such as Dachser, Palletways, DSV, and Kuehne+ Nagel.

Can I Collect My Order Instead?

You can collect your order from our Coventry warehouse at CV7 9QS. At checkout, select 'Collect From Store'. We will notify you when your order is ready for collection.

Remote Delivery

Our website can't be set so it calculate the shipping costs correctly for every location possible. For some remote areas, such as Scottish Highlands, Wales, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scilly Isles, or other offshore locations, the final shipping costs might be higher than suggested at the checkout on the website. If this is the case, you might be contacted by a member of our staff, should any additional shipping charge be required. Each of these shipments are assessed individually.

Do You Ship Internationally?

We use the most reliable and widely recognised courier services for our overseas and European customers. This service appears as part of the checkout process for international orders, and the website calculates the shipping cost for your country automatically.

Larger orders to countries we ship to will have an option allowing you to request a quote. The quote will be made available to you within 24 hours, and our trade team will contact you to discuss this. Smaller orders will be calculated automatically. If you do not see your location or country listed in the checkout process, we may still be able to ship to you.

Please be aware of any potential customs charges and taxes that would need to be covered by you to receive the parcel if ordering from overseas. These charges can't be assessed by ourselves and depend on your country import and customs laws.

Returns

We hope that your purchase from us is exactly what you wanted. However, we understand that occasionally some issues may occur with the items of your choice. Parts may arrive damaged or develop a fault, or you may simply wish to return the products if they are not what you had expected. In any case, our customer service team is here to help you.

Cancellation Policy

We want you to be entirely happy with your purchases from us. If you change your mind just after placing your order, you can cancel at any time without any cost, provided that the goods haven't been despatched yet, regardless of the reason.

Note: We are not able to accept cancellations for customised products or special orders for projects manufactured directly to your specifications. In these situations, the restocking fee will apply.

After Delivery

We highly encourage you to check the products as soon as they are delivered to you so that any problems can be raised with the delivery drivers immediately. Alternatively, make sure to mark the delivery as "unchecked" while signing for it.

Should you want to return your product after delivery, we allow a 14 day period for the goods to be sent back to us, provided that they are in unused condition. In this situation, you have to bear the shipping costs yourself, and we refund only the value of the goods, not the original shipping costs.

Returns Material Authorisation

If you want to return any of your items, please follow the instructions below:

You must obtain an RMA (Returns Material Authorisation) number from us before shipping the goods back to us. Please send an e-mail request to sales@ledison-led-lights.co.uk or fill out the form at the link below. Returns without an RMA cannot be recognised and processed.

If there is a problem with the product, you will need to provide full fault or damage details. Please note that you are responsible for the cost of returning unwanted items to us, and also for the condition in which the goods arrive. If they come back damaged or not in usable condition, the refund will not be processed. Please take extra care of them and package them well. In case the goods get damaged in transit, you will be responsible for claiming the damage refund directly with the courier you have chosen.

The RMA number must be clearly marked on the outer transit packaging of your return. Do not write on or mark the product packaging.

Please enclose a copy of your invoice, if possible.

If the items you want to return were damaged in transit on the way to you, or they arrived faulty within 14 days after delivery, all return shipping costs will be at Voltacon's expense and we will be obliged to send you a replacement or a refund.

If you return claimed faulty items and, on our inspection, they prove to be in good working order, we will charge a fixed fee of £30.00 for testing time, repackaging, and reshipping.

If you want to return the items for any reason outside the 14 days after delivery, a restocking and handling fee of 20% will apply to the gross subtotal value of the order. All return costs will be at your expense, including warranty claims.

If the item develops a fault within the warranty period, you need to send it back to us for inspection by a technician. After the assessment, we are obliged to fix the item, where possible, or replace or refund it if repair is not possible. We are not able to dispatch replacements without receiving the faulty items back first.

Make sure the item is adequately protected to prevent any damage. Voltacon cannot be held responsible for any damage to goods returned without adequate protective packaging.

A kind request: We ask customers to fully inspect all products received on the day of delivery. To ensure a resolution, we must be notified of any items that arrive faulty or damaged within 48 hours of receipt. We will then advise the next course of action, provide the RMA and arrange collection, ask for goods to be returned to us, or ask for the goods to be disposed of. Please never dispose of goods without our confirmation.
